This will allow us to make sure that the shop and all other areas are thoroughly cleaned at the beginning and the end of the day.
Please bear with us as we are running on reduced hours and staffing for the foreseeable future!
First and foremost, we would like to assure you that we have read and taken steps to follow the guidance and comply with the COVID19 guidelines.
We have a duty of care towards the health and safety of our staff as well as our customers and other visitors to the shop and because of this, we will be implementing a one way system throughout our shop, in through the main entrance on Railway Street, out through back door in to our car park, which leads in to Water Lane car park. You can still use our car park free of charge but would ask that you walk round to the front entrance to access the shop. The ONLY exceptions to this are those customers requiring disabled access or those dropping off deliveries/items for repair (as our warehouse/workshop are to the rear). We will endeavour to keep both doors open to ensure a good flow of fresh air.
We will also implement the 'no more than 1 customer per staff member available at the time' regime. This will mean no more than up to 2 customers in the shop at a time, with a queuing system outside for any additional customers until a member of staff becomes free. We would request, wherever possible, that you limit family numbers to the shop too. However, being a family business ourselves, we know that this isn't always possible, in which case, we would request that little people are kept by their big person's side at all times.
We will provide a hand sanitising station to the front of the shop and ask that you would use it on entering the shop. We also would request that you follow the floor markings where possible and adhere to the 2 metre rule!
We will regularly clean all areas of the shop.
If you are unable to access the Shop:
Please ring us for assistance on 01653 692492. If we do not answer the phone (as we’re busy in the shop serving customers or it is after hours), please leave a message and we will get back to you at our earliest opportunity. Alternatively, you can always email us on email@example.com
With regards to safe working in customers houses:
Please note that we are working to our industry standards, set by AMDEA, full details are available at www.tvcelectrical.co.uk/covid-19
We will take every precaution necessary to prevent the spread of COVID19 and not enter your premises if we have knowingly been in contact with someone who is suffering from or showing symptoms of COVID19 or if we, ourselves, are suffering from or showing symptoms of COVID19.
On the day of your booked visit, we shall ring and double check that you have not been in contact with anyone who is suffering from or showing symptoms of COVID19, nor are you, or anyone in your household, suffering from or showing symptoms of COVID19.
Our staff will wear gloves and a facemask and use antibacterial wipes/gel where necessary.
When we are inside your premises, we would ask that you would show us where we need to be, keeping a 2 metre distance at all times, then remove yourself to another room/area of the house/garden. If you could also leave windows/doors open for the free flow of fresh air to help ventilate.
We would ask that the item of equipment we are looking at for repair, or taking away for disposal, plus the surrounding area, is cleaned down prior to us coming. We will clean down any equipment/surfaces that we have handled/touched once we have completed our repair/installation. However, we would also ask that you clean down any equipment or areas after we have left.
Although it is always lovely to get the offer of a cuppa and cake, please note that we are unable to accept these at the moment :)
Finally, we would like to say a massive thank you to all of you for your continued support throughout these unprecedented times. Gavin, Sam and the Team at TVC Electrical
